Students at Aberystwyth University Vote to Ban Bibles in Shameful Disgrace

Daily Bale

Bibles face being banned from a Welsh university halls after students voted to remove the religious books from their bedrooms.

It is believed that left wing Anti British Anti Fascist Marxists may of allegedly infiltrated the University and influenced the decision to vote against having Bibles on campus.

Yet another clear sign of left wing politically correct fascism and Religious intolerance from Anti Christian Marxists.

We ask – does this include all religious books and texts ?

We very much doubt that.

These students should bow their heads in deep shame.

Imagine what their Grandparents would of thought of them today ? Some of their Grandparents would of carried Bibles when in armed conflict defending the freedom of this country.

Hope not hate

Deep shame as Students vote to ban Bibles being placed in halls of residence because they are “inappropriate in a multicultural university”.

Daily Bale

It will end a tradition going back generations where each room in halls has a Bible – for first year students to turn to if they wish.

The Students’ Union has been criticised for backing the Bible ban after less than five per cent of the 10,000-strong student body voted – with 300 in favour of the ban and 175 against.

The motion called for all Bibles to be removed from halls of residence bedrooms at the end of the current academic year – replacing it with an option for students to request a religious text in their room if they want one.

Students on social media expressed concerns over the roundness of the voting numbers and how so few votes could mean the motion was passed.

Aberystwyth Students’ Union said the vote result was now “binding” and they were mandated to lobby the University to remove all Bibles by the start of the next academic year in September 2015.

On their website they said they 475 votes cast was “almost double the minimum requirement” as set out in their “democratic structure”.

They said: “475 students voting is a higher number than any attendance at a democratic meeting and so we are delighted that we have managed to open up democratically to this extent.”

The Bible ban was called for by students John David Morgan and Daniel Brothers.

Mr Morgan told a student council meeting: “Compulsory inclusion of Bibles in university bedrooms is inappropriate in a multicultural university such as Aberystwyth.

“It could be offensive for some, and university should provide a safe space for students to explore and develop their beliefs in a neutral environment.

“Bibles should however still be available for those who wish to have them.”

A survey of students at Pentre Jane Morgan halls of residence conducted by Aberystwyth Students’ Union in 2014 found almost half felt the compulsory inclusion of the holy book placed in rooms by Gideon International was “uncomfortable” or “unacceptable”.

It also reportedly found only four per cent stated their inclusion in rooms was a “good idea”.

University bosses promised to review the policy if Aberystwyth Students’ Union backed their removal.

Other universities have banned Gideon Bibles in the past, including Huddersfield University in 2013, which said it wanted its properties to be “ethically neutral”.

It also claimed to remove them because many of the students are from overseas. The move was branded “anti-Christian” by local religious leaders.

Stirling University Students’ Association also called to have Bibles removed from halls of residence, claiming it was “presumptuous” and offensive to different religions on the campus.

Last year, one of Britain’s largest hotel chains – Travelodge – removed bibles from all its bedrooms for “diversity reasons”.

It said the policy was implemented “in order not to discriminate against any religion” – despite having had no complaints from guests at any of its 500 hotels.

The practice of placing Bibles in British hotel rooms originated with the Commercial Travellers’ Christian Association late in the Victorian era.

The organisation was founded in 1888, with backing from the owners of biscuit manufacturer McVitie’s, and donated bibles to hotels around the country.

In more recent years, the work was taken over by the Gideon Society, which distributes free Bibles in almost 194 countries worldwide.

Members of the Gideon Society, an evangelical Christian organisation founded in the US in 1898, were inspired to give out free Bibles in hotel rooms after visiting Britain and seeing the Commercial Travellers’ Christian Association’s work.

In the UK, the Gideon Society, whose income comes from donations and bequests from wills, still continues this mission – giving out free bibles to large institutions, including hospitals and prisons.

Copies of the New Testament are also presented to school pupils, members of the armed forces, police, ambulance and fire services.

Labour Supporters and Leftwing Politically Correct Extremist Antifascist Terrorists

Violent Left Wing Politically Correct Freaks and Left Wing Anti Fascist Marxist Anti British Hate mobs in No.10 rampage: Hard Left’s shame as rioters attack police and deface WWII memorial as Left Wing Politically Correct Perverts and Freaks lay siege to Downing Street.

It is now time to do away with the pathetic Anti British Human Rights Laws brought in by Labour, and begin to round up and arrest these Anti British terrorists and Left Wing Marxist criminals and evil sick (so called) Anti Fascist Communist thugs who are trying to destroy the State.

Most of these sickos belong to well known so called ‘Anti Fascist’ organisations in the U.K that receive taxpayer funded grants because they say they stand for equality, but are in actual fact just Marxist Communist fronts, out to cause division, confusion, chaos and hatred in order to try and bring on a Communist Revolution and bring down the State.

We must now withdraw all taxpayer funding for so called ‘Anti Fascist’ organisations in the U.K

They are known to use extreme violence against anybody who opposes or questions them, and they are rumoured to have links to left wing Communist politically correct criminal extremists groups and predominantly many of them are Labour supporters too.

  • Anarchists and left wing sickos and politically correct weird freaks unwilling to accept Thursday’s election result protested violently in Whitehall
  • Dozens of protesters, many of them wearing terrorist masks or balaclavas tried to push their way through police lines
  • Some of the protesters brandished highly offensive banners as they marched towards Downing Street
  • Protesters chanted ‘Get the Tories Out’ and ‘Tory Scum’ as they abused police officers trying to keep the peace

Hard-left politically correct Marxist sicko activists desecrated a war memorial to the gallant sacrifice of women who served during the Second World War as anarchists objecting to Thursday’s election result protested outside Downing Street.

A mindless left wing pervert thug daubed ‘F*** Tory Scum’ in red paint on the memorial in a sickening display of contempt on the 70th anniversary weekend of VE Day.

The Royal British Legion today condemned the vandalism brandishing it as a ‘senseless act’.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are investigating the vandalism which formed part of the un-authorised protest which left two police officers requiring hospital treatment.

The Metropolitan Police said 17 people have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and assault as well public order offences

Some of the protesters wore masks and balaclavas in a bid to hide their identity from police officers attempting to keep the peace

Police arrested 15 people at the scene on suspicion of offences ranging from assault on a police officer, violent disorder and under the 1986 public order act. All but one of those arrested, which police originally said totalled 17, have been bailed.

Scotland Yard said 12 people were held on suspicion of violent disorder and three for assault on police. The youngest is a 16-year-old boy, 11 suspects are aged between 19 and 26, one is a 30-year-old man and the oldest is a 45-year-old man.

A spokesman said police awaited confirmation of the age of one suspect and whether any of those arrested were female.

Of the 15 held, 14 had been bailed to return to London police stations on dates in early July pending further enquiries including a full review of CCTV footage. A 24-year-old man remained in custody having been arrested on suspicion of assault on police.

A spokesman for The Royal British Legion said: ‘This senseless act could not have been more inappropriately timed. This weekend we commemorate those who fought and died for the freedom to have elections and the freedom to enjoy the lives we have today.’

A special VE Day Concert is planned to take place this evening, just yards from where the anarchists desecrated the £800,000 memorial.

A Downing Street spokeswoman condemned the hate mob’s actions. ‘Spraying graffiti on war memorials is a despicable display of disrespect for those who fought and died for their country, particularly at a time when the whole nation comes together to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VE Day.’

Former Commons speaker Betty Boothroyd also joined the condemnation of the attack. She said: ‘This is an absolute insult to the memory of thousands of women of my generation who sweated blood and tears for the freedoms that some members of this generation have abused by this act.

‘The vandals who attacked the memorial are beyond contempt. They talk of scum – they should look in the mirror.’

However, left-wing writer and activist Laurie Penny confirmed that she did not have a problem with the attack on the memorial commemorating the sacrifice of women during the Second World War.

In a series of Tweets, Ms Penny said: ‘I don’t have a problem with his.

A group calling itself The People’s Assembly, but who are in actual fact just left wing weird parasites and jobless Marxist Anti Fascist Anti British sickos, planned to meet up in Whitehall at 1pm to protest against Thursday’s election result which seen David Cameron returned to office with a clear Commons majority.

The mob chanted ‘get the Tories out’ as large sections of the city were shut down as a result of the demonstration.

Some of the protesters brandished highly offensive home-made banners proclaiming F*** The Cuts’, while others described the Conservative Party as Tory Scum.

Protesters threw bottles, cans and smoke bombs at the police. Scuffles broke out when the demonstrators, blaring hooters, banging pots and chanting obscenities, confronted lines of police outside the gate protecting the Prime Minister’s official residence.

Some protesters handed out flyers claiming: ‘Parliament is no longer our priority, our priority is survival. A Tory majority is a declaration of war.’

It was reported that smoke bombs, bottles, cans and even a bicycle were hurled at police officers during this afternoon's disturbances

At one point a bicycle was hurled at police.

Several hundred people took part in the demonstration with at least 25 black-clad youths wearing face masks, sunglasses and even balaclavas.

Police were forced to close Whitehall to traffic as they dealt with the escalating situation.

A group of the protesters attempted to push their way through barricades, while some smoke bombs were let off.

The Metropolitan Police were forced to deploy officers on horseback and riot police in response to the violent scenes.

Conservative MP Sir Peter Bottomley said: ‘We have a General Election every five years. People should accept the result rather than spray-painting war memorials.

‘A mark on the ballot paper means more than demonstrators who use inappropriate actions, inappropriate language and look as they are rejecting the results of an open, free, democratic process.’

The protesters included members of the Socialist Worker Party. Others brandished flags proclaiming membership of hard-left anarchist organisations.

A large police presence met protesters outside Conservative campaign headquarters in Westminster, where David Cameron had issued a rousing speech to party activists little over 24 hours earlier, following the Tories’ success at the ballot box.

And in Cardiff, anti-Conservative protesters made their feelings known at a 200-strong rally at the Aneurin Bevan statue on Queen Street.

The idea for the memorial was first floated in 1997, as Britain was one of only a few countries without a monument recognising the efforts of females during the Second World War.

A fund-raising campaign was then set up to raise the money needed to build a monument, and it was publicly backed by former Commons speaker Baroness Boothroyd, Dame Vera Lynn and the Princess Royal.

The National Heritage Memorial Fund contributed to the project while a guest-appearance by Baroness Boothroyd on the quiz show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionnaire?’ raised further £800,000 for the monument.

The memorial was sculpted by John W. Mills and features 17 uniforms of the jobs many women were forced to do while men went to war.

Uniforms include those of the Women’s Land Army, the Women’s Royal Naval Service, a nursing cape and a welding mask, with the lettering on the side replicating that found in wartime ration books.

It was unveiled by the Queen in July 2005, just two days after the 7/7 bombings, as part of the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in front of dignitaries and war veterans.

Baroness Boothroyd dedicated the memorial saying: ‘I hope that future generations who pass this way down Whitehall will ask themselves what sort of women were they and look at history for the answer.’

Former pop singer and opera star Charlotte Church was among those taking part.

In London, police said an estimated crowd of 100 people gathered outside Tory HQ before moving on to Downing Street.

On social media, protesters complained they were being ‘kettled’ by the Metropolitan Police.

Amid the crowd there were some sinister looking men in balaclavas covering up their identity as they jostled with police.

The Metropolitan Police said that 17 people were arrested during the ‘unplanned anti-austerity protest’.

Arrests were made on suspicion of violent disorder, assault on a police officer and under sections of the 1986 Public Order Act.

Police confirmed that they are investigating the criminal damage of the Women’s War Memorial in Whitehall.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘At approximately 1600hrs police responded to a spontaneous protest outside Downing Street, SW1.

‘Four police officers and one member of police staff were injured policing the protest. Two received hospital treatment. One officer was treated for a suspected dislocated shoulder and a member of police staff was treated for a cut lip after being struck by an object. Three other officers were assaulted and did not require hospital treatment.’

‘A number of protestors engaged in violence and disorder and a containment was put in place to prevent any further breach of the peace.

‘In total 17 people were arrested for a variety of offences under the Public Order Act 1986, Violent Disorder and Assault on Police. They have been taken to north and west London police stations. There are no reported injuries to any members of the public.

‘At approximately 2100hrs the protesters dispersed and roads reopened.’

Chief Superintendent Gerry Campbell appealed for information about those involved in disturbances. ‘The vast majority of those protesting did so peacefully however a small minority were intent on causing disorder and engaged in violence, injuring five officers and staff – two of which required hospital treatment. Our best wishes are with those officers and staff at this time.

‘We have launched an investigation into criminal damage to the Women in World War II Memorial. This is particularly abhorrent considering we are celebrating the 70th Anniversary of VE Day.

‘I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the criminal damage taking place or may have information regarding those involved to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’

Evil Left Wing Anti Fascist Used Fake Profiles to Hunt Female Victims

Daily Bale

Evil Left Wing Anti Fascist Used Fake Profiles to Hunt Female Victims

A violent sex attacker and alleged member of a well known Anti Fascist organisation who preyed on lone women walking home late at night, has been jailed.

Adam Downworth carried out his attacks across the Greater Manchester area, following his victims as they walked home alone before sexually assaulting or raping them.

In some cases, the women were also robbed and one victim was beaten so badly she had to undergo facial reconstructive surgery.

Adam Downworth (born 15/12/81) of Lenham Towers, Stockport, who the Daily Bale has been informed was a member of a well known Anti Fascist organisation was found guilty following a four-week trial of two counts of rape, three counts of attempted rape, four counts of sexual assault by penetration, two counts of section 47 assault causing actual bodily harm and one count of grievous bodily harm.

HOPE not hate

He pleaded guilty to one count of section 47 assault causing actual bodily harm at an earlier hearing.

He was sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court to life imprisonment, to serve a minimum of 23 years.

Shortly after 12.40am on Sunday 16 September 2012, a 48-year-old woman was walking home along George Lane in Bredbury. Moments after she had rung a relative to let them know what time she would be arriving home, she was pulled into a wooded area at the side of the road and subjected to a vicious beating. She was then raped.

A short time later, a couple walking home found the victim staggering along George Lane. Downworth then walked out of the bushes a little further up the street. The man gave chase but Downworth was able to escape. However, he was arrested by police officers a short time later on a nearby street.

Downworth’s van was parked less than 100 yards away from the attack location.

The victim suffered significant injuries to her head and face and has had to undergo facial reconstructive surgery.

Following Downworth’s arrest on 16 September, officers searched his home address and found two mobile phones that had been stolen during attacks on a woman in Stockport in April 2012, and a woman in Gorton in May 2012.

During the course of the attack in April, the 26-year-old victim was grabbed and thrown to the floor as she walked home alone. The attacker threatened to rape her, but the victim fought back and the attacker fled the scene having stolen her handbag and mobile phone.

During the offence in May, the 22-year-old victim had also been beaten as she walked home alone and her attacker tried to rape her. However, he was disturbed enabling the victim to escape and seek help.

Officers also found an array of books within Downworth’s address relating to self-defence techniques and strangulation, forensic crime scene analysis, criminal profiling techniques and narcissistic personality disorder.

Further investigation linked Downworth to two other violent sexually-motivated attacks in the Stockport and Gorton areas of Greater Manchester in 2011 and 2012.

As part of extensive enquiries, police analysed hours of CCTV footage which was shown to capture Downworth’s van in the immediate area to four of the attacks a short time before they occurred.

Officers also found that Downworth had set up a facebook account under a facebook account under a fake profile which he used to befriend random women, many of whom accepted his friend requests even though they did not know him.

Detective Inspector Rebecca Matthews from GMPs Sexual Crime Unit said:

Downworth subjected each of his victims to vicious attacks, making it clear from not only his actions but his threats and words, that he poses a real danger to women and cannot be allowed to walk the streets.

He drove randomly round streets across Greater Manchester in his van looking for his next victim walking home alone. He would then subject these women to some of the most appalling attacks I have seen in my policing career.

When we arrested Downworth, we found a library of books at his home that gave a chilling insight into his personality and thought processes, ranging from research on law surrounding sexual offences to hiding your true personality from others.

This man has been sentenced for attacks relating to five women, who are now rebuilding their lives as they try to recover from the terrible ordeals he put them through. Due to the serious nature of Downworth⿿s offending, it is possible there may be other victims that have not come forward to police for whatever reason and if this is the case, I would urge them to do so.

Investigating sexual crimes is a priority for GMP and we have specialist officers and units dedicated solely to this work, to ensure those that commit these despicable crimes are brought to justice for their actions.

Please do not suffer in silence – if you have been a victim of a rape or sex attack, please call the police and we will support you from the moment you call us and thoroughly investigate any information you tell us.

I would also like to take this opportunity to urge women not to walk home alone late at night but to plan their journeys and to travel with friends wherever possible.

Anyone who has been a victim of rape or sexual assault is urged to call Greater Manchester Police on 101, or alternatively people can refer themselves to St Mary’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre.

St Mary’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Manchester provides a comprehensive and coordinated forensic, counselling and medical aftercare service 24/7 to anyone in Greater Manchester who has experienced rape or sexual assault.

Evil Sick Sex Attacks on Women

Details on each of the attacks

At 2.50am on Saturday 3 December 2011, a 28-year-old woman was walking home through Alexandra Park in Edgeley, Stockport when she was grabbed from behind around the throat. The attacker threatened to rape her if she moved, before tightening his grip around her neck, causing her to lose consciousness.

The attacker then dragged the victim to a secluded area of the park. As she came round she was being subjected to a violent sexual assault before the attacker again gripped her around the neck, rendering her unconscious for a second time.

The victim suffered serious injuries to her face and body including a broken nose and significant bruising.

At around 1.25am on Sunday 1 April 2012, a 26-year-old woman was walking home along Borrowdale Road in Stockport when a man jumped out of bushes and attacked her.

He threatened to rape her and the woman was thrown to the floor. The victim shouted out for help and her attacker ran off, stealing her handbag during the attack.

At around 1.20am on Saturday 12 May 2012, a 22-year-old woman was walking home through Gorton. As she walked down Tan Yard Brow, she was approached and punched repeatedly in the face by a man. Her attacker also put his hands around her neck and attempted to strangle her.

The woman, who had money in her handbag, offered for it to be taken, but was told her attacker did not want it. The woman was sexually assaulted and threatened, before the man tried to rape her. At that point, a car turned down Hyde Road shining its lights into the bushes and the woman was able to escape and run to a nearby house to call the police.

The victim had her phone stolen during the attack and suffered facial injuries.

Downworth later used the victims phone to send sickening texts of a sexual nature to a number of girls he did not know, but had earlier befriended on facebook using a fake profile.

This phone was later found at Downworths flat in Brinnington, when he was arrested on suspicion of the rape on George Lane in Bredbury on 16 September.

In the early hours of Sunday 1 July 2012, a 28-year-old woman was walking home through Debdale Park in Gorton. She was thrown to the floor and punched repeatedly to her head and body, before being sexually assaulted.

The victim lost consciousness during the attack and it is believed she was thrown in the reservoir. The woman was found injured and walking nearby to the scene by a passing taxi driver, who called the police and sought treatment for her.

The victim suffered serious injuries to her face and body including a broken nose and significant bruising.

Warning to all Readers of the Daily Bale

Daily Bale

Warning to all readers of the Daily Bale and the millions who already follow us and read us.

The leftist Anti Fascist Anti British Marxists and the left wing undemocratic Politically Correct Trotskyists and Communists on Social Media are desperately trying to get the Daily Bale shut down.

They are relentlessly and continuously spreading their usual vicious and vile disgusting lies and misinformation to try and deter everybody and anybody from reading the Daily Bale.

They are spending vast amounts of time messaging and tweeting people, and they are continuously watching and observing Social Media for anybody who shares articles from off the Daily Bale.

They are desperately telling people ‘not to share’ our articles because they say we are a (spoof) publication and that it is all lies.

The truth is that they fear the Daily Bale.

We expose the truth about them and reveal their lies and hypocrisy, manipulation and intimidation, bullying and aggression, and most importantly their evil crimes and misinformation.

They desperately want us shut down and silenced.

That in itself reveals their sick undemocratic oppression of freedom of speech, their bullying tactics, and all the more the need for publications such as the Daily Bale to expose these vile evil Left-wing Anti British Marxist Monsters, Anti Fascist Trotskyist Traitors and Communist Creeps.

They say we are a (spoof) publication, and yet they desperately want us shut down.

Surely they would just laugh at us and ignore us if we are a (spoof) publication ?

Who would even bother with us or have anything to worry about a spoof and a joke, right ??

They fear us and they hate us because we expose them, and they really do not like that at all.

Our advice is to simply make up your own mind.

You already know what these people are from past experience and we have no doubt you have probably been on the receiving end of their hatred and viciousness.

But that is exactly what these evil people represent through and through.

Marxism is evil.

Communism is evil.

Trotskyism is evil.

Political Correctness is evil.

All of it is about silencing opposition, crushing freedom of speech, and forcing the masses to follow and adhere to one ideology and thought process only – Leftism in whatever form, and it’s evil enforcer – Political Correctness.

Political Correctness is simply nothing more than a left wing Marxist tool to shut you up, to stop you from asking questions, to stop you challenging through debate, and to make you bow to their way and their control.

You may of noticed how the Anti Fascists will never debate, and if they do then they lose, and always resort to name calling, like Fascist or Racist.

The Daily Bale exists precisely because of this evil within our Society, and to very much challenge these disgusting foul vile wicked people.

This is exactly why they do not want you to believe us or to read us – think about it, it’s not Rocket Science is it ?

The bottom line is this, irrelevant of who follows us or who reads us now, all of our posts go on to Google, and the General Public find us and read us, and that is their Democratic right to do so and our Democratic right to Publish.

The left wing Marxists know this, and they hate it.

We incidentally love it.

It’s called ‘Freedom of Speech’

English National spirit is awakening fast now, but where does the thankfully and quite rightfully new restored Nationalist spirit arise from and where are we heading with it ?

The Daily Bale only says what we are all thinking, without the Politically Correct nonsense and left wing Marxist brainwashing and garbage that the weird sick Anti British Anti Fascists would have you believe with their vile lies and deceit.

But where is the Nation heading and what does it hold for our children ?

Is it time now to begin to bring to trial the Anti Fascist organisations responsible for left wing Marxist treason and politically correct bullying and tyranny of the British people ?

Many are now calling for Justice and for those responsible for politically correct bullying and cover ups to be brought to trial, named, exposed and punished in a Court of Law.

How would a future Nationalist Government deal with left wing politically correct Marxist traitors and those who have used political correctness to bully, intimidate, manipulate and ruin British Patriots lives in the name of criminal undemocratic left wing Marxism and Trotskyism ?

These people must be brought to trial, that is clear, but will it involve an act of Parliament or could it be done under existing criminal law ?

British Patriots demand justice and those responsible for political correctness brought to trial

NOBODY asked to design a political system for Britain would ever propose the one it has. The one-and-a-bit large islands (and many smaller ones) that The Economist calls home are a hotch-potch of parliamentary systems, unevenly distributed powers and constitutional uncertainties.

The set-up is as uneven as Britain’s history is eventful, which is no coincidence: the causes of the mess date back centuries. The latest upheaval—Scotland’s referendum on independence, which ended with a “no” vote on September 18th—has made things untidier still.

It is the strangest, closest general election for many years. The formation of a United Kingdom was far from inevitable. For centuries Scotland was politically closer to France (and at times even to Norway) than it was to England.

Even when the Anglo-Welsh and Scottish crowns were joined in 1603, they remained two separate countries, their border a lawless place inhabited by bands of lance-wielding “reivers”. A failed Scottish colonial venture in Panama gave the English the diplomatic leverage to form the United Kingdom in 1707.

That an independent Scotland died at the quill rather than at the sword explains why it was never wholly dissolved into the British state. The country kept its own church and legal system. In 1801 Ireland, too, was assimilated into the union by treaty.

For many years the cracks between the United Kingdom’s parts were subtle; “English” and “British” were used interchangeably. Colonial derring-do helped solidify the union at home. Scots were especially prominent in the British empire: they tutored both Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, often ran India and founded Hong Kong’s mightiest trading company.

The bonds came apart in jolts, many years apart. The rise of Irish nationalism in the 1880s prompted William Gladstone, Britain’s prime minister, to advocate “home rule” for Ireland—and to muse about what was then known as “home rule all round”, or a federal structure for the entire United Kingdom.

Ireland eventually gained independence after the first world war. In the 1930s separatist violence began to flare in the northern, mostly Protestant bit that had remained in Britain. Then the Empire went, dissolving the glue that had bound the union.

Time now to root out and ban all Political Correctness and the evil organisations that push this vile evil Marxist Communist garbage

As heavy industry declined in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and oil was found under Scottish waters, talk of home rule started up again. In two general elections in 1974, support for the secessionist Scottish National Party (SNP) surged as posters went up bemoaning the loss of “Scotland’s oil”.

The unstable Labour government that followed drew up plans for devolution in return for the support of Scottish and Welsh nationalists. Scottish voters approved an assembly in a plebiscite in 1979, but failed to clear a minimum vote threshold that had been inserted into the referendum bill.

At about the same time, the union began to pull part politically. The Scots and the Welsh resented the monetarist reforms of Margaret Thatcher, Britain’s prime minister in the 1980s, and turned away from her party. In the 1950s the Conservative Party was level-pegging with Labour in Scotland; in the 2010 general election it won just one of its 59 seats.

When, in 1997, Labour returned to government ready to finish the task that its predecessors had started two decades earlier, the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish all endorsed devolution.

Edinburgh and Cardiff got eye-wateringly expensive new civic buildings to complement their new powers. The Scottish Parliament meets in a lopsided wood-and-glass complex evoking pine forests and upturned fishing boats.

The politicians within spend a good deal, too. Scotland has done especially well out of the Barnett formula, which calculates grants for the devolved authorities by scaling down spending changes in England according to population and levels of devolution. In the 2012-13 fiscal year, the latest for which figures are available, total public spending per head was £10,152 ($16,600) in Scotland but £8,529 in England.

The Scottish Parliament can make laws in all areas, including education, health and some bits of welfare policy, not specifically reserved to Westminster by the Scotland Act of 1998.

The Welsh, by contrast, can only exercise specifically devolved powers in their Assembly. Northern Ireland is another case entirely. Devolution there is tied to power-sharing between nationalists and unionists.

Powers were pulled back to London when relations broke down between 2002 and 2007.

Though most politicians in the devolved authorities want more power, they are getting it at a different pace. The first minister of Wales, Carwyn Jones, says he will only take on tax-raising powers if the Barnett formula (under which Wales does worse than Scotland, though better than England) is reformed and if the power to alter tax bands is also devolved.

Scotland gained control of its railways in 2007, then its planning rules in 2008. In 2012 a new Scotland Act granted Edinburgh greater income tax and borrowing powers, due to be transferred in 2015 and 2016.

Still, the overall direction of travel is clear: towards greater autonomy for every bit of Britain except England, which contains 84% of the population. The English have been remarkably sanguine about devolution: fewer than a quarter say they would reverse it. Yet resentment at the anomaly is rising.

The Evil of Anti British Left Wing Political Correctness

Ask an Englishman what most riles him about devolution and he will probably mention the amount of public spending lavished on Scotland. Polling suggests that the proportion thinking this over-generous rose from a quarter to over half in the decade to 2012.

In the Dog and Duck, a pub in the Yorkshire town of Beverley, it is the subject of lively debate. “They’re like the reivers,” jokes one man of the Scots, “coming over the border and raiding our coffers.”

Meanwhile the mixture of British and English identities is separating out. In a forced-choice question asked annually in the British Social Attitudes survey, 55% of English voters in 1997 called themselves British and 33% said they were English.

By 2012 that 22-point lead had vanished: both identities were on 43%. English identity is now more strongly felt than most equivalents in western Europe, including Bavarian, Galician and Breton nationalities.

Michael Kenny, an authority on Englishness, cites it as a factor in the rise of the UK Independence Party (UKIP), a right-wing outfit attracting disaffected voters from the Conservatives and Labour.

Despite years of devolution to Britain’s periphery, the parliament in Westminster looks remarkably similar to how it did in 1997. Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish MPs have the same rights as English ones, even in votes not affecting their constituents.

This gives rise to the West Lothian Question, after Tam Dalyell, MP for that Scottish seat, who asked in 1977 why, under devolution, he should vote on matters only affecting the English.

In practice the anomaly has rarely affected votes in Parliament—with a few exceptions, including one in 2004 when Scottish MPs helped increase tuition fees paid by English students. Still, the principle appears increasingly unjust to the English.

Austerity and the general election of 2010 intensified resentments on both sides of the border.

The SNP partly owed its unexpected majority in the 2011 Scottish election to anger at spending cuts imposed by the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government, which seem to have drawn Scots’ attention to the fact that many decisions are still made in London.

That voters north of the border had strongly favoured a Labour government in the 2010 election enabled nationalists to advocate independence on the grounds that Scots would henceforth get the government they voted for.

The referendum campaign that ended with a “no” vote on September 18th was fought between nationalists decrying the heartless English yoke and unionist leaders promising Scots ever greater autonomy within the United Kingdom—and a continuation of the Barnett formula—to encourage them to stay.

These pleas culminated on September 16th, when the leaders of the Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat parties issued a panicked “vow” to grant Scotland new powers within months of a “no” vote.

English MPs—particularly Tory ones—seethed as the Scottish campaign wore on. By referendum day, says one Conservative grandee, the anti-English tone in Scotland, combined with the promise of further devolution and the preservation of the hated Barnett formula, had rendered the status quo unsustainable.

David Cameron would have to offer something to England. His response on the morning after the result, calling for a decisive answer to the West Lothian Question, was a canny way of embracing the inevitable.

The prime minister reportedly hit on the wheeze over a curry with George Osborne, the chancellor of the exchequer, the night before.

The two main parties have long agreed that the English deserve more power.

But they differ over the form this should take. The Tories could thrive electorally in institutions covering England as a whole, where they do better electorally than across Britain, so tend to endorse these.

Labour’s strongholds are in the big cities and the north, so it leans towards regional and metropolitan devolution.

Left wing Politically Correct tyranny and Marxism

In the past three general elections, the Conservatives have included English-only parliamentary votes on English laws among their manifesto pledges.

In his statement after the Scottish referendum David Cameron revived this old cause, appointing William Hague, a former Tory Party leader, to chair a cabinet committee to look into such solutions to the English question.

The measure could help the Tories woo English nationalists tempted to vote UKIP and is overwhelmingly popular among Conservative MPs. Handily, it would also dilute Labour’s voting strength—from 40% of MPs at present to 37%.

Ed Miliband and other Labour figures have spent the past few days wriggling when asked whether they would support the measure.

Sir Malcolm Rifkind, a Scottish Conservative, has argued that it is practical. He advocates a requirement that bills applying only to England obtain majorities both of the whole House of Commons and of English MPs.

A milder solution—which Nick Clegg, the Lib Dem leader, has been talking up—was floated by the McKay commission, a panel asked to look into the matter by the government in 2012.

Under this model, legislation deemed English-only would pass through committees of English MPs for amendment before being voted on by the entire house.

English-only votes in any guise would, however, be tricky. Ministers and civil servants would have to find a way of drafting legislation to separate out sections applying only to England—or perhaps England and Wales.

And it would create a risk of deadlock in the event of a national government reliant on Scottish MPs for its majority. This has rarely been the case in the past, but could result from next year’s election.

Some Conservatives, along with the English Democrats, a small nationalist party, would go further and create an English parliament either in Westminster or elsewhere (York, Warwick and Winchester have all been mooted).

The British prime minister would look more like a president, dealing with foreign affairs, defence and infrastructure but with little control over most domestic policy. This would solve the West Lothian Question once and for all.

But it could create big problems. Robert Hazell of University College London points out that federal systems with a single dominant state have rarely survived for long.

The West Indies Federation failed in 1962 after just four years in part because of the heft of Jamaica—which was still not as great as is the might of England within the United Kingdom.

An English first minister would have the power to undermine the British prime minister; if the two were of different parties, a long power struggle could ensue.

Left wing Anti Fascist Marxist Anti British evil

Labour’s preferred alternative—English regional assemblies covering populations roughly the size of Scotland—went down in flames when voters in north-east England voted on it in 2004.

But many in the party remain convinced that sub-national devolution is the answer to the English question, or at least a large part of it.

Some would revive regional assemblies, protesting that the 2004 referendum was badly managed and the offer of local power insufficiently bold. Mr Miliband, responding to Mr Cameron’s call for English-only votes, argued for a detailed constitutional convention to look at options such as greater autonomy for regions. Others in Labour would pass more power to cities and city regions.

No solution besides English-only votes enjoys consistent majority support among the English. Backing for an English parliament has inched up in the Future of England Survey, but is still below a third. And even the popular option will not be implemented soon.

Parliamentary time before next year’s general election, due to take place in May, is running out and no party is in the mood for compromise.

Instead, it is expected that Mr Hague’s cabinet committee will spell out the options for reform, which will then be used by Conservatives to bash Labour for neglecting the rights of English voters.

Unless the Tories win a majority next year, the result will probably be a fudge involving one or more of the milder possibilities on offer.

For reformers, this is infuriating. Britain’s messy constitution is a product of decades, even centuries, of muddling through, slapping sticking plasters on problems and hoping the whole thing holds together.

Even now, as the United Kingdom recovers from a close brush with oblivion, such an outcome appears more likely than a thorough solution.

As Benjamin Disraeli, a Victorian prime minister, once put it (referring to Britain): “England is governed not by logic but by Parliament.” That Britain has an illogical Parliament, then, is perhaps only natural.

Reformed Left Wing Anti Fascist admits that he was wrong and mass immigration.

  • The greatest mass migration in our history has taken place
  • Revolutionaries of the Sixties to blame for seeing immigrants as allies
  • Rather than them adapting to our lifestyle, we are adapting to theirs

The Daily Bale celebrates reaching 4 million followers, and with this, today we proudly publish a narrative of an Ex left wing politically correct Marxist, who now admits he was dreadfully wrong.

This makes shocking reading, but it has to be read and understood from one of their own who has now come out and admitted that he was seriously mistaken and misled, and it is also a dire warning to those who are being pulled into the clutches of the left wing politically correct so called ‘Anti Fascist’ groups that we see trying to corrupt and brainwash young people up and down the U.K at this time.

From one of their own –

‘these people are wrong and immoral, this vile left wing misinformation and left wing politically correct brainwashing from these so called Anti Fascists has to be stopped, before it’s too late and there is no turning back for our people, our country and our existence’

Was this Britain?

Every group of people I passed was speaking Russian. The shops were full of black bread, pickled cucumbers and vodka, the faces were Slavic. The advertisements in the windows were in the Cyrillic script I had come to know so well when I lived, many years before, in Moscow.

Yet here I was in the shadow of a lovely English Gothic church tower, half-way to dear old Skegness, surrounded by fields of English turnips, leeks and sugar beet, under an English heaven.

This was Boston, Lincolnshire, which I had first seen three decades ago as a somnolent, slightly shabby market town where a kindly traffic warden had found me a parking space, saying: ‘We can always find room for a foreigner.’

Immigrants eating food by railway sidings in Calais

In those days, a visitor from London was about as foreign as it got in Boston. Now they were talking Portuguese in the pubs, Polish in the cafes, Latvian and Estonian on the buses. If I had fallen into the river and called out ‘Help!’, I couldn’t even have been sure that anyone would have understood.

Somehow this transformation was more of a shock, more disturbing and perplexing, than any of the other migration-driven changes I had seen. And that tended to be the attitude of the older residents – not anger, hatred or hostility, we are not like that – but bafflement that such a huge thing could have erupted into their peaceful lives, without anyone warning or asking them.

We had all got used to London being different, long ago. The former mill towns of Yorkshire and Lancashire, with their huge new mosques and veiled women, were a place apart. But Lincolnshire? If it could come here, into Deep England, then it would come to everywhere.

It really is not much good the Prime Minister turning round now and saying to the people of Boston ‘this must stop’. Even if anyone believed he can or will do anything (and his various schemes are as firmly based as Theresa May’s promises to get rid of Abu Qatada), the event has happened.

The greatest mass migration in our history has taken place. The newcomers are lawfully here. They have the jobs, live in the houses, use the NHS. Their children are in the schools. Come to that, they are paying tax.

The less aggressive left wing politically correct Anti Fascist Anti British pro immigration Marxist

Our leaders only had to go to Boston, any time in the past five years, and they would have known. But all our leading politicians were afraid of knowing the truth. If they knew, they would at least have to pretend to act. And the truth was, they liked things as they were.

And it was at least partly my own fault. When I was a Revolutionary Marxist, we were all in favour of as much immigration as possible. It wasn’t because we liked immigrants, but because we didn’t like Britain. We saw immigrants – from anywhere – as allies against the staid, settled, conservative society that our country still was at the end of the Sixties.

Also, we liked to feel oh, so superior to the bewildered people – usually in the poorest parts of Britain – who found their neighbourhoods suddenly transformed into supposedly ‘vibrant communities’.

If they dared to express the mildest objections, we called them bigots.

Daily Bale

The more violent left wing politically correct Anti Fascist Anti British pro immigration Marxist

Revolutionary students didn’t come from such ‘vibrant’ areas (we came, as far as I could tell, mostly from Surrey and the nicer parts of London). We might live in ‘vibrant’ places for a few (usually squalid) years, amid unmown lawns and overflowing dustbins.

But we did so as irresponsible, childless transients – not as homeowners, or as parents of school-age children, or as old people hoping for a bit of serenity at the ends of their lives.

When we graduated and began to earn serious money, we generally headed for expensive London enclaves and became extremely choosy about where our children went to school, a choice we happily denied the urban poor, the ones we sneered at as ‘racists’.

What did we know, or care, of the great silent revolution which even then was beginning to transform the lives of the British poor? To us, it meant patriotism and tradition could always be derided as ‘racist’.

It also meant cheap servants for the rich new middle-class, for the first time since 1939, as well as cheap restaurants and – later on – cheap builders and plumbers working off the books.

It wasn’t our wages that were depressed, or our work that was priced out of the market. Immigrants didn’t do the sort of jobs we did.

They were no threat to us. The only threat might have come from the aggrieved British people, but we could always stifle their protests by suggesting that they were modern-day fascists.

“I have learned since what a spiteful, self-righteous, snobbish and arrogant person I was and most of my revolutionary comrades were, too”

I have seen places that I knew and felt at home in, changed completely in a few short years. I have imagined what it might be like to have grown old while stranded in shabby, narrow streets where my neighbours spoke a different language and I gradually found myself becoming a lonely, shaky-voiced stranger in a world I once knew, but which no longer knew me.

I have felt deeply, hopelessly sorry that I did and said nothing in defence of those whose lives were turned upside down, without their ever being asked, and who were warned very clearly that, if they complained, they would be despised outcasts. And I have spent a great deal of time in the parts of Britain where the revolutionary unintelligentsia don’t go.

Such people seldom, if ever, visit their own country. Their orbits are in fashionable London zones, and holiday destinations. They are better acquainted with the Apennines of Italy than with the Pennines of their own country.

But, unlike me, most of the Sixties generation still hold the views I used to hold and – with the recent, honourable exception of David Goodhart, the Left-wing journalist turned Think Tank boss who recognises he was wrong – they will not change.

The worst part of this is the deep, deep hypocrisy of it. Even back in my Trotskyist days I had begun to notice that many of the migrants from Asia were in fact not our allies. They were deeply, unshakably religious. They were socially conservative. Their attitudes towards girls and women were, in many cases, close to medieval.

Many of them were hostile to Jews, in a way which we would have condemned fiercely if anyone else had expressed it, but which we somehow the Anti Fascists managed to forgive and forget in their case.

But I recall ten years ago, in a Muslim bookshop in the backstreets of Burnley, seeing on open display a modern edition of Henry Ford’s revolting anti-Jewish diatribe The International Jew, long ago disowned by Ford himself. It is unthinkable that any mainstream shop in any High Street could sell this.

Many of these new arrivals, though we revolutionaries welcomed them, knew and cared nothing of the great liberal causes we all supported. Or they were hostile to them.

Many on the Left still lie to themselves about this. George Galloway, the most Left-wing MP in Parliament, owes his seat to the support of conservative Muslims. Yet he voted in favour of same-sex marriage. It would be interesting to be at any meetings where Mr Galloway discusses this with his constituents.

Of course, all political parties are compromises, but there is a big difference between splitting the difference and flatly ignoring a profound clash of principles.

This sort of cynicism has been at the heart of the deal. Immigrants have been used by those who wanted to transform the country. They have taken the parts of them they liked, and made much of them. They have ignored the parts they did not like.

We must ban all left wing political correctness and restore freedom of speech, common sense, order and discipline, respect and responsibility, consequences and law, and true real British morality.

Mr Galloway likes the Muslims’ opposition to the Iraq War and their scorn for New Labour (and good luck to him). But he does not like their views on sexual morality.

The same is true of many others. One of the most striking characteristics of the majority of migrants from the Caribbean is their strong, unashamed Christian faith, and their love of disciplined education.

Yet the arrival of many such people in London was never used as a reason to say our society should become more Christian, or our schools should be better-ordered.

At that time, the revolutionary liberals were hoping to wave goodbye to the Church, and were busy driving discipline out of the state schools. So nobody ever said ‘Let us adapt our society to the demands of these newcomers’. They had the wrong sort of demands.

Instead, the authorities made much of the behaviour of a minority of such migrants, often much disliked by their fellow Afro-Caribbeans – men who took and sold illegal drugs and who were not prepared to respect British law.

If proper policing of such people could be classified as ‘racist’, then the drug laws as a whole could be weakened, and the police placed under liberal control.

This is why the so-called ‘Brixton Riots’ of April 1981 were used as a lever to weaken the police and undermine the drug laws, rather than as a reason to restore proper law and peace to that part of London.

Something very similar happened with the Macpherson Report into the murder of Stephen Lawrence. Few noticed that the report openly urged that people from different ethnic groups should be policed in different ways – and actually condemned ‘colour-blind’ policing.

In whose interests was this? And wasn’t this attitude, that different types of behaviour could be expected from different ethnic groups, racially prejudiced?

But what did that matter, if it suited the revolutionary liberal agenda of purging the police of old-fashioned conservative types?

hope not hate. U.A.F

The sickness and evil of left wing politically correct tyranny and Marxist fascism

The same forces destroyed Ray Honeyford, a Bradford headmaster who – long before it was fashionable – tried to stand up against political correctness  in schools. He was driven from his job and of course condemned as  a ‘racist’.

Yet it would have been very much in the interests of integration and real equality in Bradford if his warnings had been heeded and acted upon.

As it is, as any observant visitor finds, Bradford’s Muslim citizens and its non-Muslim citizens live in two separate solitudes, barely in contact with each other. Much of the Islamic community is profoundly out of step with modern Britain.

Once again, revolutionary liberals had formed a cynical alliance to destroy conservative opposition.

Their greatest ally has always been the British Tory politician Enoch Powell who, in a stupid and cynical speech in 1968, packed with alarmist language and sprinkled with derogatory expressions and inflammatory rumour, defined debate on the subject of immigration for 40 years.

  • 1.
  • It is impossible to calculate the precise scale of mass immigration into the UK. However, about 2.5 million Commonwealth immigrants have settled here since 1962, and the most cautious estimate of East European migrants now is around 700,000.
  • 2.
  • The only other two concentrated waves of immigration since the Norman invasion of 1066 are almost negligible by comparison: 50,000 French Protestant Huguenot refugees around 1670, and about 120,000 Jews from Russia and what is now Poland, between 1881 and 1914. Comparably small numbers of Poles and Hungarians came as refugees from Communist tyranny in the 1940s and 1950s.
  • 3.
  • Many Irish people have come to England and Scotland and about two million live here. But Ireland was part of the UK until 1922, so it is hard to equate this with migration from Eastern Europe, Africa or Asia.
  • 4.
  • Large-scale migration from EU countries began in 2004. It is controlled by EU directives, which Britain has no choice but to obey. Britain could have restricted arrivals to some extent until 2011 (many EU countries did). But Britain’s traditionally free society makes it difficult to keep track of EU nationals once they have arrived here, which they can do without restriction as they hold EU passports.
  • 5.
  • Migrationwatch UK, a body calling for immigration restrictions, says 36 per cent of housing demand is created by  immigrants – 200 new homes a day over the next 25 years. It says the UK will have a population of 70 million by 2028 (it is now 61m), needing a new Birmingham-sized city every three years.

Thanks to him, and his undoubted attempt to mobilise racial hostility, the revolutionary liberals have ever afterwards found it easy to accuse any opponent of being a Powellite.

Absurdly, even when Britain’s frontiers were demolished by the Blair Government and hundreds of thousands of white-skinned Europeans came here to work, it was still possible to smear any doubters as ‘racists’.

It couldn’t have been more obvious that ‘race’ wasn’t the problem. The thing that made these new residents different was culture – language, customs, attitudes, sense of humour.

Rather than them adapting to our way of life, we were adapting to theirs. This wasn’t integration. It was a revolution. Yet nobody – especially their elected representatives – would listen to them,  because they were assumed to be Powellite bigots, motivated by some sort of unreasoning hatred.

I now believe that the unreasoning hatred comes almost entirely from the liberal Left. Of course, there are still people who harbour stupid racial prejudices. But most of those concerned about immigration are completely innocent of such feelings.

The screaming, spitting intolerance comes from a pampered elite who are ashamed of their own country, despise patriotism in others and feel none themselves. They long for a horrible borderless Utopia in which love of country has vanished, nannies are cheap and other people’s wages are low.

What a pity it is that there seems to be no way of turning these people out of their positions of power and influence. For if there is to be any hope of harmony in these islands, then it can only come through a great effort to bring us all together, once again, in a shared love for this, the most beautiful and blessed plot of earth on the planet.
